Parts list:

Tyke Toter and foot peg may both be adjusted higher or lower, according to the child rider's height, so that the child can comfortably rest his or her feet on the foot rest and they are kept away from any of the bicycle’s moving parts. The foot peg is not designed in any way to restrain the child's feet.

Instructions:

Attaching the Tyke Toter:

  1. Center Tyke Toter above top bar of bike frame, and wrap orange quick-release clamp wings around seat post. For taller children, mount Tyke Toter higher up on the seat post.

HINTS:

Quick-release lever should be tight enough so that the Tyke Toter does not easily move left or right with applied pressure in either direction. As long as the washer is in the correct location, the Tyke Toter can be secured.

Your bike seat may need to be raised to accommodate a taller child.

2.   Making sure the washer is between the lever and the orange clamp wing, move lever and washer into place through the slotted wing on right orange clamp wing.

3. First tighten the nut then secure the lever pointing front or back when tightened, NEVER up or down.

Attaching the Foot Peg:

HINTS:

Velcro straps and rubber shims must be tight enough to keep foot-peg from rotating on the frame. Smaller down tubes may need extra shims. A child’s foot is unrestrained on the foot peg, therefore, use only as a foot rest.

1.   Some down-tubes have the brake cables strung along them. In this case, you will need to slide the Velcro straps on your foot peg out about 1.5 inches, as shown below (top), and then install Velcro around downtube under the cables. If your brake cables are strung along your top tube, you can skip this step.

2.       Apply one or more of the provided adhesive rubber shims to the inside saddle of the foot peg for a proper fit. (below, bottom) Remove adhesive backing and attach to inside curve of foot-peg as shown on bottom right. Place foot peg on  down tube and secure tightly with Velcro straps.
